    The Bring Your Own Device System has been added to Passaic Valley this year in hopes of preparing students for life after high school. The new system allows students to bring in computers or tablets from home in order to complete school work and follow lessons during class. The students bring in their own device and connect it to the school Wi-Fi, so they can view educational sites approved by the school.

    Every year in Passaic Valley, there are inevitably changes that people expect to improve our overall curriculum and learning experiences. These past few months have seen the recent installation of the Bring Your Own Device program, which allows students to use their own laptops and computers in school. This is meant to further solidify the students participation in school, along with expanding learning capabilities in the classroom. While it has definitely proved beneficial at this point, it does raise some eyebrows as to how effective this program really is.

    During this school year, the Yondr policy has been expanded to every classroom in Passaic Valley after being deemed "successful" during the 8 classroom pilot last year. However, students and teachers are convinced Yondr was not worth the hefty $15,000 price tag.
