Devyn DiPasquale, one of PVs finest student athletes, is excited to be a new journalist for the Valley Echo. DiPasquale is eager to take Journalism as it will benefit the English major she wants to pursue in college. Devyn would love to acquire more advanced writing skills to further her knowledge with the help of this experience.
Devyn is a very dedicated individual and adeptly balances all her academics, sports, and activities. She has been a varsity softball player since freshman year and participates in Varsity Club, Interact Club and Italian Club. In addition, Devyn excels in the classroom. She takes a variety of Honors and AP courses, including AP US History, Physics I Honors, and Italian IV Honors.
As varsity 2nd baseman, Devyn is looking forward to softball season and the dynamic team she expects to have around her. "I think we have a chance to go far", she adds. Softball is a passion of hers and she has been pursuing it since a young age.
Devyn is thrilled to have this course in her schedule because it is very relevant to her future studies. "Last year I realized I was really set on being a teacher, so I thought this class would help me improve my writing overall in the future," she says. Journalism is a very exciting class for Devyn to take and she looks forward to writing about the new and exciting moments at PV.
Devyn's outgoing personality will lead her to achieve great things as a new journalist. If she could give any advice to incoming students it would be to get involved in something at school. Devyn believes there is something for everyone at Passaic Valley. She has had an overall positive experience here and wishes the best for all incoming students. In the 2019-20 school year, Devyn is looking forward to creating friendships, growing with her softball team, and furthering her education.
