Dear Passaic Valley School Community,

I am beyond excited to write this letter to you as the new Superintendent of Passaic Valley Regional High School. The opportunity to lead such a wonderful school so deeply rooted in academic excellence and rich tradition is very humbling. I look forward to providing you with comfort and stability during these challenging times.Superintendent Mr. Bracken Healy

Prior to arriving at Passaic Valley, I spent the last eight years in Clifton and the previous six years with Essex County Vocational Schools. During my 14-year career, I have served as Principal, Vice Principal, English Teacher, Athletic Coach, New Teacher Mentor and more. My leadership skills are a far-ranging blend of experiences from the classroom, athletic fields, and administrative positions. I am a life-long learner that places a premium on building positive relationships while setting high expectations for all.

These roles and responsibilities have had a profound impact on my leadership style which centers around communication and teamwork. I pride myself on being a solutions-oriented leader that values input from others in order to achieve a desired outcome. Needless to say, I am eager to collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure that we are offering the best educational experience possible for the students of PVHS.

I understand that this pandemic has created a heightened level of anxiety and stress for many of our students, staff and families. As we continue to receive updated guidance from the state, I promise to be transparent and open with district communications. Our plan for September is to completely reopen for all students and staff, operating with a full day schedule, five days a week (including lunch). There will be additional updates later this month.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. I look forward to your partnership as we prepare to usher in this new school year together.

Educationally yours,

Bracken Healy
