On January 24th, the Passaic Valley Drama Club took a trip into New York City to see Mean Girls on Broadway. Ms. Jennifer Shue and Ms. Pia Vanderstreet chaperoned the group as they attended a workshop, dinner, and finally the show.   The students sit together watching the presentation before the show; photo credit: Jennifer Shue

The club first attended a workshop run by an actress who previously was a part of the Hamilton National Tour. Students then participated in a dance class to help them sharpen their skills. Afterwards, the group headed over to The Gossip Bar for dinner before the show.

"It also inspired me because I may possibly want to perform on Broadway in the future.”

Ms. Shue also felt as though the show was an outstanding success. “The show was excellent! We usually do one show a year but last  year we did two, so we shall see!” Shue describes the show as a fun trip and urges people to join the club next year!
