Showrunner, Ms. Jennifer Shue, recently released the full cast list, naming Brianna Cielo '17 and Michael Smith '17 as the production's leads, playing Sandy Olsson and Danny Zuko respectively. The production's rehearsals begin March 6th,  after school about four or five days a week.

The duo, along with the rest of the cast, will take audiences back in time to the 1950s, where they will all play lively seniors in their cliques, getting ready to graduate from high school.

Brianna Cielo explained the production and her part, saying that it will not be like the Grease we all know. “The play will be different because it is the original [Broadway production of]  and not so much like the movie.”

Cielo, a mainstay of the Schneider Auditorium stage, is eager to take on  the role of Sandy and is very excited to for her role.

Michael Smith, however, is fairly new to the stage, taking on his first lead role. Smith  said that even though his part will be tough, “I know my cast will push me through and we will all do the best job we can and have a lot of fun.”

Fittingly, the senior roles in Grease are indeed all played by seniors themselves. Ms. Shue shared that she is so excited for the show. “Just by looking at the cast, you can see it's going to be a smash hit with really good, talented, hard working kids.”

As of yet, Grease's premiere dates have not been announced. Stay tuned for updates regarding the premiere and ticket information.

Congratulations to all of the actresses and actors; PV is ready for another amazing show!
